The Smokehouse Burger at Twin Peaks in Rogers Review
Had the Smokehouse Burger at Twin Peaks in Rogers and I will have to pass on a second one. The Smokehouse Burger is two all beef patties with melted cheddar, mushrooms, red onions, BBQ sauce, and bacon topped with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Made to order, the burger comes with a side of “fire fries” but you can substitute with mashed potatoes, green beans, tomato soup or one of their other side items.
First impression, the overall presentation was good and the portion size is definitely generous. Unfortunately the burger was extremely greasy and the meat was very fatty. Grease was dripping down my face with each bite and I was not able to finish. Getting past the grease, the salty seasoning, BBQ sauce, and pickles did not mix well on this particular burger and just made for a bad dining experience. The fire fries were very tasty and really were the only good thing in my lunch basket. I would not recommend the Smokehouse Burger at Twin Peaks. Just to be fair, I have not had the chance to eat here before so I do no speak for the entire menu but as that old mom’s saying goes..show me your friends I will tell you who you are. Some people may love the Smokehouse Burger at Twin Peaks but I did not.
The Restaurant Look
Two thumbs up on the restaurant look itself. Twin Peaks is a complete man cave with a cool log cabin theme. They have a really great looking main bar inside, a spacious covered patio bar, and large dining area and more flat screen TV’s than you can count. The bar has a good selection of beers on tap, there is a large motorcycle parking lot off the patio, and would be a good place to watch the game.
Will my wife or girlfriend like Twin Peaks?
Now to answer the big question from every guy after my visit…”Is this a place is can bring my wife / girlfriend?” Who knows? They do show some skin but nothing too crazy. It’s a burger and fries version of Hooters in my opinion. On my visit the only women in the building were the ones working if that says anything but I am sure many women will be just fine with Twin Peaks. I personally will not be setting up a anniversary reservation there but if the wife asked me to take here there I would. Cool guy hangout, some ladies may dig it but I am sure there will be some weird conversation on the ride home.
Second question from all the single guys…The ladies! I am a food blogger so I will let you be the judge on that.
