Arkansas Fried Catfish Recipe

- Large Skillet or Deep Fryer
Ingredients
- 4 Catfish fillets
- 1 Cup All-purpose flour
- 1 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 Teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 Cup Buttermilk
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each catfish fillet in the buttermilk, then coat in the flour mixture, pressing the flour onto the fish to ensure it sticks.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350 degrees F.
- Carefully add the coated catfish fillets to the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Use tongs to remove the fish from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as tartar sauce or remoulade.
Notes
