As the owner of NWAfood.com I visit a ton of restaurants and try to stop at Lucy's at least one time every month. Can't seem to get enough of the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. My wife and kids always order breakfast when we go (event at night). We go for the food but stay for the pie!
We would travel from Rogers to Fayetteville just to hit Smitty's so were really excited when they opened the Rogers location. Really in love with several burger places in NWA and they are on my Top 10 for sure.
Headed out to Wright's BBQ and they let us (a.k.a. NWAFood.com) try a little of everything! Brisket was tender, pulled pork smoked to perfection, chicken was juicy, and ribs falling off the bone as expected. Premium BBQ! The big win for me was the sausage links. Arkansas has a bunch of great BBQ but only a handful can serve up a great link. Haven't been out for the live tunes yet but planning to check that out soon.
I am in Siloam Springs all the time and visit 28 Springs at least two times a month for lunch with clients. Great menu and friendly staff. You can close your eyes and point to anything on the menu knowing that it's going to be good. The Chicken Brie and the Hickory Grilled Pork Chops are my two favs with a spinach dip. Avocado Fries are pretty good too!
The wings are really good. I like to get the honey barbecue and mango habanero. The fried pickles and fries are ok but a little salty for my taste. I personally prefer a truffle oil on my fries but that's just me. Everyone else seems to think I'm crazy when I say I'm not a fan of the fries and fried pickles so don't take my word for it. Love the Fried Pies alamode. Pretty hard to beat their wings and my wife's always says they have the good Ranch!
We love Hammontree's in Rogers because the food is really good. The staff is very friendly but seems like its takes forever to get anything done. The last several visits seemed like 10 minutes or longer before someone takes a drink order and about the same to come back for our food order. Actually timed it the last few times and about 20-25 minutes before our order was actually placed. Not sure if this is everyone's experience but has been for us. That said we keep going back because the food is pretty legit. I suggest the Pig Sooie...it's worth the wait :)
I thought they were kidding when they said one can feed about 3 or 4 people but no joke! Most places charge $10-$13 for a personal size so feeding 3 people and bringing a box home for $10 ended up being a super good deal for us. Giving a 4 star review just on value alone....the food is pretty good too.
If you are the type to have a default list of place to go for dinner make sure Chuy's is on the list. Hard to find anything on the menu that you won't like...I think it's the Creamy Jalapeno (a.k.a. crack dip) they shell out by the tub that keeps people hooked.
We stopped by Tintos & Tapas today for a a quick takeout order and grabbed the Chicken Arepas. Really enjoyed the pulled chicken and slaw mix. Not sure if they make their plantain chip in-house but everything else was fresh! Would have loved to get some spice with this but overall really great. Looking forward to testing out a few other items on the menu.
Had the opportunity to try some fried catfish at Blu and have to say I was very impressed. Flaky crust perfectly fried, little southern spice, and the fish is quality. It's hard to find a good catfish without that muddy taste. I have eaten catfish at most of the seafood restaurants in the NWA and would put this in the top 5, even top 3 of the best catfish in the area. On top of having great quality fish...they source their catfish from locals and I can get behind that!
Several tucks have gone through City Pump so I am going to just say that I have always found something great to eat when we visit. We love the concept and totally support a business model that helps other local small business owners thrive. City Pump gets a 5 star from me all day, not just for the great food trucks and the cool atmosphere, I like the community they bring to Rogers. Keep It Local!
Been a fan of the food truck for years and now a fan of this new restaurant. I checked out the Mexican Street Taco meal and did 5 different setups. The meats are tender a juicy, the flavors is savory, and spice wasn't overpowering...I would drive for these tacos. Let me explain, there are some restaurants that have good food but I only visit if I happen to be in town and others..they are the destination and I will make the trip. You say Yeyo's to me and I say let's go!
I grew up eating crawfish aka crawdads where I'm from or mud bugs and me and my friends called them growing up. Juicy tails cooks them up similar to back home so I am a fan. Now I know some of you are going to tell me your favorite spot and I want to hear it..but my go to is Juicy Tails right now. I challenge anyone who has eaten some crawdads at Juicy Tails to tell me a better location in Northwest Arkansas! Possibly one, I haven't found it yet, but possibly.
I respect people's opinions and as the owner of this site gladly provide a an outlet to give it to us real. That said, you went a bit hard on them for... from what I can see they were just really busy. Does that honestly drop them to a 1 star? I personally don't think they earned that rank especially since you didn't even try to eat their food. Everyone has a bad day and I would suggest you go back and try again and try their food. I am sure you will consider changing your rating if you do. Thanks for taking the time to share with us and thanks for using the site. My2Cents
Visited Moonbroch Brewing Company for lunch and ordered the fish & chips. Good size portion of thick cut cod served with fires and this really great minted sweet pea relish. Food was great and they really have a cool location. I am a Rogers local and they just got added to my go to food spots. I KNOW MY PICTURES SUCK TODAY!!.. but the food looked to good to just take pictures of it. Had to dive in!
Had a chance to check out the Yellowfin Tuna Street Tacos! Seared sushi grade yellowfin tuna on corn tortillas with a creamy avocado ranch, charred pico de gallo, and mango relish served with jalapeño cheddar rice. Not sure how often they do these but I would love to see as a regular menu item. Had to grab the smoked salmon dip too. yum!
Growler USA in Rogers has an amazing selection of beers on tap and great food. I have watched several games here and it's a really good vibe. Jarred the bartender is pretty cool guy and knows his beers!
I grew up in South Florida and cought my own shrimp fresh from the ocean dozens of times, ate fresh shrimp in some of the finest seafood restaurants, and coconut shrimp would be #3 on my "Bubba Gump Shrimp" rant. That said, I can say that Hapa's delivers a great coconut shrimp dish and giving them a 5 star on the coconut shrimp.
Not going to give a full review but the Fajitas and service are great! I will share pictures next visit.
I like their curry pad thai with chicken. Pretty good
