Great for poor management
The service our waitress provided was phenomenal. We came in indecisive and got the Lucy’s Trio appetizer sampler with mushrooms, pickles, and fried green tomatoes. Everything was great except the tomatoes which were rotten. We notified our waitress and showed her the rotten spot and she handled the situation very well. We were NOT asking for any kind of refund as the rest of our meal was amazing, however the man who I assume is the owner/GM, stated “No they are not.”, when our waitress brought it to his attention. Then he proceeded to order green tomatoes to try them for himself. Our tomatoes were bad enough that if he would have just looked under the breading he could have seen for himself that they were bad. We never complain at restaurants and our only goal today was to let them know so no one else got bad tomatoes. The experience was great until he got involved. Moral of the story is next time a customer notifies you of a problem without making a big deal of it maybe be more discrete in your efforts to debunk the complaint. His attitude felt disrespectful and demeaning. I hope that he treats his crew better than he handles gental customer complaints. The crew was awesome!
